Balms Away! - Bath bomb and lip balm workshop

The 2012 workshop series is ready to go!  The first workshop in the series will be Balms Away!  A fun workshop where we'll learn the basics of making balms and bombs!  Bath bombs that is!

We'll learn about making balms and salves.  These are the original moisturizers that humans have been making for centuries.  You can alter a balm or a salve for almost any purpose.  The Egyptians made a hard balm with spices and herbs.  They shaped it into a cone placed it on their heads.  As the hot day wore on, it would melt into their hair.  The original solid perfume!  Come and learn how to make your own balms and salves for all types of reasons.  To heal or protect the skin, to use for massage, for lips, furniture... all kinds of things.

We'll also learn the basics of bath bombs!  It's easier than you think!  Just in time for Valentine's day you'll learn how to make lovely treats to indulge your loved one, most of all you!

This workshop is offered Sunday February 5th or Saturday April 14, 2012 in the West end of Ottawa.
